Although I try to eat right 90% of the time I always have to look for something sweet after my meals. I have a very sweet tooth so Im always looking for healthier choices to keep around my house for when that sweet tooth comes around asking for stimulation. Sometimes the fruit is just not enough. A couple of months ago I went online looking for recipes with peanut butter. I love peanut butter and I have found that although peanut butter has fat its also got protein and I could use the protein. I found a recipe for flour-less peanut butter cookies. I couldn’t believe it flour-less cookies. But yes I found a flour-less peanut butter cookie recipe so I printed it and tried it. It was so easy to prepare and make that I really was scared how they would turn out, it was only four ingredients and no flour or butter. I mixed up the batch, put them to bake and viola I got some really good no flour peanut butter cookies. I think I ate them all they were fire, they were so good. The problem was that the recipe had sugar so even though they had four easy ingredients one of those ingredients was sugar and well they are not that healthy if they have all that sugar and I eat them all. So I decided to alter them. I alter all my recipes why not? Once you have the recipe you can do whatever you want just accept the blame if they don’t come out good.
But if you are looking for alternatives for your sweet tooth try these cookies.
Healthy flax seed peanut butter, cranberry cookies. I have made them over ten times maybe even more. I just got the original recipe about two months ago. These cookies are really good. I bake them all the time and keep them in a cookie container so when the cookie monster wants cookies I have a healthier alternative
I also trick my brain by making them really small like “minis” so if I eat five or six cookies its really like if I really sort of had two 🙂
But you really don’t have to feel guilty about these cookies because they are packed with flax seed. Flax seeds contain
Flax seeds are loaded with high fiber but low in carbs.
